A task was created and converted to a subtask. The workflow got corrupted and now I am unable to edit the status of the subtask, consequently I am unable to close the Sprint. I am unable to convert the subtask back to a Task as well. I have admin privileges, but do not have the rights to Delete a subtask.

Hi,

This seems to an existing issue, and there are workarounds already posted in the forum that you can follow:

1. [JSWCLOUD-16279] Cannot close a sprint with subtasks in a state other than parent story states - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

2. Unable to close the sprint because of pending sub ... (atlassian.com)

There are more threads that you can search and follow if these do not resolve your issue.

You will need to undo the changes your other admin made to the workflow, providing a route to close the issues the workflow is used by.
