Hi guys,
I have created a project in my Jira service desk for onboardings, with tabs, but for some reason, those doesn't showing up.
When i create the ticket, i see all the tabs.
When i view the ticket (after creation) i don't see any tabs.
When i edit the ticket i see the tabs.
If i edit the ticket and put any value into it, it will show up - but what if i don't have any value?
I have checked the screens (View / Edit / Create) they all are using the same screen/fields... i don;t know what to check more...
To build on @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- answer, tabs are a logical separation for use by people. In JIRA all the fields are on the same screen. that is why the tabs disappear when there isn't any data in the field.
Hi @Joe Pitt so basically you are saying that this is intended? If so...must be in the newer versions...as in jira 7 is works....by default....but i just bought a new jira and i can't make those tabs to stay there and be visible...no matter if they have a value or not.
Is there any workaround to make them appear?

It has always worked that way for me going back to 2006. You need to have a value in the field for it to appear on the view screen or details screen.

Same here, it's hidden empty fields since at least 3.0. You'd need to hack some core code to do it as well, it's not as simple as an app or injected code to override it.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- & @Joe Pitt I understood. The only solution to do this is to get a "To Do" plugin- after testing seems like those are showing.
One more question: Is possible when you complete the custom field checklist....the results to display one under another and no inline?

The "missing" tabs contain only fields that you have not put data into. Jira hides empty fields, and if a tab has nothing but empty fields, it will hide the tab too.
