Sum up difference on dashboard

László Kíra April 24, 2025

Dear Community,

We are using STAGIL Assets for inventorying. On these obejcts (work items) we have a number custom field and I would like to make a dashboard which counts the differences through time.

For example I have some server as objects. I would like to see the sum of the allocated CPU  in the past month on a chart.

Thank you!

Hello @László Kíra,

I Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

If the CPU field a custom number field, you can aggregate that field with the following Quick Gadgets that our app provides.

  • Quick Issue Statistics
  • Quick Two Dimensional Filter Statistics
  • Quick Pie Chart / Quick Workload Pie Chart
  • Quick Bar Chart
  • Quick Created vs. Resolved Chart

For your use case it might be the best solution to work with the Bar Chart and Custom JQL Values. For that you could define an individual JQL for each Bar and create Bars for each month.

Another solution could be to filter the gadget dynamically using the Quick Controller gadget. So you could filter it e.g. per month.

You can try out Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards on our demo dashboards without installation.
