Show 'Epic Link' in issue details view

We have a requirement to show 'Epic Link' in the default issue details page as in the highlighted empty red box below.

We have 'Epic Link' displayed in development board view, even when the field is empty. We are looking for similar implementation.

In order to see epic links in the view screen you have to ensure that the custom field is available in the view screen for the specific issue type.

In your image, you have an epic, but an epic would not display an epic link no matter what you do.
