Select List cascading field

Hello,

We are using a custom field with field type 'Select List (cascading)' and we would like some values of the list not to appear as an option for some specific users.

Is that possible?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Aggeliki K.

Hi @Aggeliki K

In Jira by default it is not possible. Cascading fields values will be available for all users.

What you can check is Script runner and to be more precise Behaviours feature.

@Aggeliki K

Unfortunately, Jira Cloud doesn’t support this at the moment due to custom field limitations. I ran into the same situation in Data Center, where we used cascading fields (via ScriptRunner).

Yes, Sebastian’s approach is correct. The quickest solution would be to use ScriptRunner. Jira Service Managment are another Story with Assets.
