Run a report for all issues with linked Assets

Laura Rodriguez

Hi!

Currently, our JSM has the option to link the asset that is affected on the issue, we have the field "Linked asset", my question is... is there a way to see or run a report with all the issues that have been created with linked Assets?

Thank you,

@Laura Rodriguez -

Hi Laura:

Yes you can by adding Assets JQL functions syntax in your JSM JQL to pull all issues that have associated Assets objects.

Here is the reference link - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/assets-jql-functions/

Example- one of our JQL below:

project = PTEATF and "STE Info" in aqlFunction('"Part Number (VPN)" is not Empty')

  • STE Info is a custom field created sourced from our Assets scheme which we exposed to our project issues.
  • In the object, we have an attribute named "Part Number (VPN)"
  • In the query, we want to get a listing all issue where the custom field (Assets object assignment) and the assigned objects' attribute Part Number (VPN) is not empty

Hope this helps.

Best, Joseph Chung Yin
