I'm trying to find a way to make an overview of the launches for all of our apps from multiple Jira boards to fit into one roadmap, without the need to update that overview project.
Maybe I'm approaching the problem from the wrong direction, maybe someone has a better idea.
Currently, I'm using Epic to define that Application Launch date (it's more of a week than a day).
I Do this cause the launches can be delayed, so instead of changing the release date in the release section I just drag the tasks on the road map. At the launch, when I release a version then I specify the date that the app was actually launched (to have a history).
Found that using an epic named "Launch version 1.2.3" makes things more clear to everyone. So I thought that I can gather the epic from all the projects and show it on one Roadmap, apparently, Jira does not allow it, so I'm at a dead-end now. Maybe someone can help me with an idea or a solution?
Hi @Dosa Szabolcs ,
in order to have multiple project epics in a single roadmap try Portfolio for JIRA https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/features/roadmaps?tab=advanced with improve roadmap capabilities.
Right now there's an open request to put in place what you ask https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17238
Please vote this ticket and watch it in order to keep updates about it.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Thank you for the fast response sadly I'm in the same situation as these teams
To upgrade 40 people to have premium accounts when only 4 people need access is not a wise solution.
