Slowness on the forums

Hi community!

As you may have already noticed, we have been experiencing slow load times and degraded performance on the forums.  We are actively investigating and hope to have a resolution as soon as possible.

So sorry for the inconvenience - and thank you for your patience!

Hi @Monique vdB 

When an extended slowness, or problem, occurs on the community portal, why doesn't that appear in the Atlassian Status pages area for the community?

https://support.status.atlassian.com/

Adding those to status would help people know the team is aware of the symptom and is working on it...because if the community portal is having problems, posting a notification here may not be visible / available for the same reasons :^)

Subscription notifications arrive instantly and ignore the profile settings (once a day). Is this also related to the current issues?

For me notifications are often not loading. They are more often not working than working.

"Unable to fetch new notifications".

@Ivan JiraDevExpert thank you for flagging. I will see if I can recreate this and see what is going on.

@Charlie Misonne and @Barbara Szczesniak I remember this happening before. It was an intermittent bug. If this is still happening, could you add a screenshot? It would also be great if you could provide the date and time when this occurred. I can't recreate it at this time and this information would be helpful for our engineers to investigate.

I did not encounter the notification issue in the last couple of days. But it is something I've been struggling with for weeks/ months already. Perhaps it has been fixed now.

If it happens again I will provide a screenshot! :-)

@Ivan JiraDevExpert looking at my subscription notifications today, after changing my settings to what I see in your screenshot, I received the daily digest subscription email and I also received several email notifications for when a member liked my content. Could it be that the notifications you are receiving is for likes? You should be able to see the type of notification in the subject line of the email. If so, please change the setting for "Likes on my posts" from immediately to daily or the frequency of your choice. Please reach out if this doesn't solve the issue and I'll be happy to have another look.
