Hi all,
I'm currently trying to setup change requests to require an approval group.
I have created a group with 4 people in it, however the request keeps showing "One person in "Approvers" needs to approve".
While the custom field i selected for this request is called "Approval Groups (CSNL)".
Anyone know what i am missing here?
Hi @Yoda , I'm not sure I understand the issue. Are you saying that you want to require all 4 users to approve and seeing that only one is required? If so see this article - add-an-approval-to-a-workflow . If your question is something else please let me know.
Hello Jack,
No i just need one person from the group "customer support 2e lijn" to approve the request. I don't want anyone else to be able to approve the request.
Only issue is jira doesn't seem to care which group i select "default groups".

understand. Have a look at this article to ensure you have properly configured. For example, you have created a custom user picker field as mentioned on that page in the blue section.

Hello Jack,
I have followed these exact steps to configure the custom field, and put it on the request type.
I have added the user picker "Approver Groups (CSNL)"
Which has the group "customer support 2e lijn" selected als defaultgroup.
But nonetheless the system doesn't seem to recognize the users in this group (4 persons total). I can still select any user in our organization, which i do not want.
I only want the people from "customer support 2e lijn" to be able to approve a change request.

HI @Yoda , I was trying to find an old post of mine where I helped another user in a similar scenario w/o luck but found this one - Workflow-Add-an-approval-group . The key point here I wanted to pass along is when you wish to add your own approver group custom field vs using the one provided one. The above post discusses adding such a field. Hopefully that helps but also is there a reason not to use the default field and add a context for your project/request type?
