Renaming issue changes names of blocked issues as well

Hi,

I found a bug in Jira-Server 7.8.0 with renaming issues while there is/are linked issues which are blocked by the one I'm renaming.

Create two issues with different names.

Link the first with the second as "blocking".

Rename the first (which is blocking the scond).

--> Both issues get the new name

(Jira-Server 7.8.0)

What do you mean by "rename"? Do you mean you change the summary field?

Also, when you've "linked" the issues - is this an issue link, or is the second issue a sub-task of the first?

Now with Jira 7.13.0 the problem doesn't occur anymore.
