Removing label on closed JIRA task/issue

Removing label on closed JIRA task/issue

I have a JIRA task/issue that is in complete status. After the task has been updated as complete, I can't make edits and I need to remove a label on the completed task. Anyone know how to? Thank you.

Can you make NO edits to the issue? Or just can't change the Labels field?

What type of project is it? JSM? JSW? Team-managed? Company-managed? Do you use ScriptRunner (and/or Behaviours)?
