How can we verify the legitimacy of this email ? Can someone confirm if the email address is legit?

This is legit, but any question related to this you should contact Atlassian Support.

The Atlassian Community is an open forum that is provided by Atlassian for user to help each other and share knowledge.

But this is not the official support portal.

But you can look at a previous community post where an Atlassian employee confirms this email address

Thanks for asking, this was helpful. This email was a hot topic of discussion in our employee cybersafety chat today and now I'm able to confirm it it's real. It did come across as a bit sus!
