Hi , I am working in a company where each team has its own JIRA board. Now PMO team started looking on projects and there are many loopholes.
Issue is : When there is NO PMO team - all teams were working based on there own way. Few teams has company manager projects, few has team managed and there was no summary of the project. No scenario creation, bug, CR etc. created in JIRA.
Now, since PMO team started looking into projects - there is no proper project setup where all work related to one project available. Neither , its possible to create one project per partner as same changes could be part of multiple partners.
Hello @Dave Rosenlund _Trundl_ ,
Can we import excel data in Jira work management? Once the board is prepared - now needs to import 200 new tasks.
If that possible? Direct or using any app plugin apart from XRAY?

Hi, @Preetika Rawat. I did not mean it cannot be done. If the PMO will enforce one way of working across all projects you may be able to get what you need from JWM (with no extensions).
However, in my experience it is nearly impossible to truly enforce a single way of managing projects across all teams.
JWM take this to another level, because now we'll have marketing, and finance and development (for example) all working in Jira.
You may want to consider hiring an Atlassian (expert) partner to advise you and help you devise a plan.
Atlassian Partner Directory
Or maybe you can identify an Atlassian set of "plays," from their Playbook series, that will guide you.
Hope this helps,

Hi, @Preetika Rawat. I've not tried it myself but according to the Jira Work Management docs, it certainly looks to me like you can 😎

Hello, @Preetika Rawat. It sounds to me like you'll need a portfolio management extension for Jira.
Atlassian has a solution that may help (see: Enable Roadmap in JIRA Work Management), but I am a little skeptical bc Atlassian products are all designed around some core project mgmt methods and assumptions. They tend to force teams to do things a certain way.
That said, check it out. And if it's not what you had hoped have a look at the Atlassian Marketplace and search "portfolio."
Good luck,
-dave
