Enable Roadmap in JIRA Work Management

Hello,

i want to enable the roadmap function in JIRA Work Management, but i cant find it: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/enable-and-disable-the-roadmap 

Is that function only available in JIRA Software?

The "Timeline" represents the roadmap functionality for JWM. Here is an article that discusses a bit about timeline/roadmap. - Announcing-the-waitlist-for-Jira-Work-Management . Note, I expect that this will continue to improve as JWM Is an enhancement priority from what I have seen.

Hi @Dominik Kulbe Yes, this function is only available in Jira Software, not in Jira Work Management.

JWM only features the following views:

• Board
• List
• Calendar
• Timeline
• Forms
• Issues

The timeline view does not feature the same hierarchy as the Roadmap in JSW.

Hi Dominik,

You may look into Jira Premium. Plans replaced a prior feature known as Advanced Roadmaps. The plans allow for issues from multiple projects, including business and software, to be illustrated side by side or individually. 

Tempo is another option to consider. I believe they offer a portfolio tool that allows for road mapping projects as well.

Hello Guys,

thanks for the information, we wanted an overview of several projects. Unfortunately the timeline can't do that. Then we have to either use a tool from the market place, or wait for the future.
