Post Function SIL Script Never Runs

I'm doing test migrations before my final cutover to Jira Cloud. I have some SIL scripts that I use as post-functions when tickets are created. I have been trying to troubleshoot why none of them actually fire off but having a tough time tracking down the cause. I even created a test SIL script with one line to assign a ticket to a user but even that does not work so I believe it is not my scripts. Per usual, I put the SIL script post function at the end of all the steps. Does anyone have some suggestions on what to check?

Hello @Jh ,

Could you please ensure the following steps were completed:

  1. The workflow version with the post function changes has been published before testing.
  2. You use the correct issue type that corresponds to the workflow you are trying to test.
  3. Any modifications made to the SIL script have been saved.

If everything above is correct, could you try running a different post function type, such as the "Add Comment" post function from the post function templates? I'm considering the possibility that the user you're trying to assign might not be valid.

Additionally, to gain more insights, I recommend navigating to the SIL Manager and, in the lower part of the window, locate the Server Log section. Reload the log to see if any errors are reported. If you see any error, feel free to post it here.

Hi @Anna Hryhoruk _Appfire_

Thanks for the reply. I've checked all 3 points and they are good on my end.

I tested another post function(assign to reporter), and that works, but that is not using SIL script so I expected it to work. For my SIL script that I'm testing, I was even trying to set the assignee to myself, I am an Administrator.

I also tested using a SIL Script Template provided by the app, the Assign to User. Set the assignee to myself, and that does not work either.

Thanks for your reply, @Jh

That sounds unusual and likely requires a closer examination. Please feel free to create a support ticket here, and the support team will gladly assist you.

Hi @Jh

I expect you ran SIL scripts on your server/DC instance.

What app where you using. Is there a migration path in their documentation to Cloud, how to migrate current

And what app are you using in Cloud

You could also always reach out to the vendor/developer and ask them to help out.

Correct, we ran them from server instance.

PowerScripts

Same app in Cloud

Even testing with 1 line of a SIL script doesn't work, and not entire scripts.
