Not possible to filter backlog by done etc (in new next-gen)

Anthony Comito June 27, 2019

My backlog is full of completed tasks. I'm wondering how I can filter out those from my backlog. In other jira versions I recall being able to filter by done. Right now all I see if the option to filter by assignee or epic.

Maybe this is related to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Next-gen-filters/qaq-p/972962

There's a major fallacy in this question that actually obviates it.

You should NOT filter issues out of your backlog or board just because they are done.  A board will not show them in the backlog if they are correctly done.

In both classic and next-gen boards, you should be putting things that are done in the very last column, which will drop them out of the backlog.

fallacy is a little strong but thanks for the feedback

How/where do you see complete tickets from past sprints in next-gen though?
