Link to a downloadable file in a Message custom field

Hello,

Where can I put a file on Jira Server and add a link to this file in a Message custom field (for edit) ? In the data directory ?

What will I have to put in the href param of the link ?

Hi Philippe,

To link anything inside JIRA, this either must be already added as an attachment to the issue or must be an online link in any website.

Currently there isn't a possibility to create a link for a file from an external source (unless it has a link anywhere on the web).

Finally, the documents have been put on our website and I've made a link to them in the appropriate message-custom-fields.
