Server v7.12
I created a Jira project based on Project Management business template. In left hand side bar I see Summary, Issues, Reports options but no Board. Is a Kanban board not included by default in this template?
As a workaround, I created a "Board from an existing project" which worked, however, the project and board and not connected. Is my only option to create a Project Shortcut on my project to the board?
Thanks
Brice
HI @bricewalsh
Welcome to the community!
This is out of the box..right now..
The default boards come with Software project only but not in the business project.
Please have a look at the below previous discussions.
Thanks
I did find and read all of those previous discussions.
In https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Why-can-t-I-make-a-board-for-a-business-project/qaq-p/670113 @Walter Buggenhout suggests "A business project (Jira Core) does have a default board out of the box, that gets created with the project and just reflects the project's workflow:" but I don't see that option on my Jira Project created with Project Management business template.
I followed the suggestion in https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-questions/Can-you-configure-boards-for-business-projects/qaq-p/737848 to link a board to a project which works but is a very clumsy implementation.
It seems strange to me that only software project templates have a board OOTB - business projects need workflow visualization too!
