Jira stuck in infinite redirect loop, can't access anything or submit a bug report.

My team is having the same issue as these users:

Since yesterday morning, neither I nor other members of my team have been able to access Jira. Going to [org-name].atlassian.net starts a seemingly infinite redirect loop that gives up after a few minutes with:

It looks like our database is taking a little longer than usual to sync up. Wait a few moments then try again.

I have access to another Jira board in a different org under the same account, and that one is working fine. I have cleared cookies and cache, tried an incognito window, and tried another browser that I never use, nothing has worked.

I attempted to submit a support ticket, but when I try to enter our cloud URL I get:

Sorry, we can't find this Cloud URL.

Hi @Max Braun

Thank you for reaching out.

Your Jira access was disabled because your site exceeded the 10-user limit for the Free plan on April 6th. This triggered an automatic 14-day trial of Jira Standard.

Because no payment method was added during the trial or the subsequent grace period (despite reminders on April 20, 21, and 28), the subscription was cancelled on May 5th.

How to restore access

You have until May 20th (15 days from cancellation) to reactivate your site before the data is permanently deleted.

  1. Log in to admin.atlassian.com/billing.

  2. Select your Billing Account (if you have more than one).

  3. Go to the Subscriptions page and select the Inactive tab.

  4. Find your Jira subscription and select Reactivate.

  5. Add a payment method to pay for the Standard plan and confirm.

Who can do this?

This action must be performed by a Billing Admin.

  • Billing Admins have full permissions to reactivate subscriptions and manage payment methods.

  • Organization Admins can see billing information but cannot add/change payment methods or reactivate a cancelled subscription themselves unless they also hold the Billing Admin role.

Returning to the Free plan

If you want to go back to the Free plan, you must first reactivate the site on the Standard plan. Once access is restored:

  1. Reduce your user count to 10 or fewer.

  2. Go to Billing > Subscriptions > Manage and select Change plan to downgrade back to Free.

Best,
Samuil

Hi @Max Braun

Do you still have problems logging in? There was an incident yesterday.
