Hi,
I'am trying to integrate gitlab cloud with jira cloud, so far i have managed to get the basic integration working.
Now i'am trying to get the development panel working but i cannot seem to find enough information on how to do this.
as soon on the gitlab documentation https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/integration/jira_development_panel.html
They use DVCS via the github integration.
Tho in jira cloud i cannot seem to find the page where to do this.
Also i have tried the gitlab plugin in the atlassian market place. tho also on this plugin there is almost no information to be found.
Am i missing something or is this integration just not possible?
Kinds regards,
Nick
Came here to this string looking for an answer on the question posted by Nick originally. The answer to the question is not satisfactory, does not help at all. Strange such critical issues are still pending for long with Atlassian.
Hi @Nick Wegen, van ,
If I understand correctly, you are able to configure the basic Jira Gitlab integration by following the instructions in https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/integrations/jira.html, but you cannot manage to have the development information showing in the issues development panel since you cannot find the DVCS account page in your Jira Cloud instance.
If this is the case, having administrator rights, you should can find the DVCS account page by going to: Jira Settings -> Products -> DVCS Accounts
Other options are:
Also, I am not sure which add-on you have tried, but I can see that the below free app has been released by GitLab not too long ago (2019-09-17) and I got confirmation from a colleague that it works:
Finally, we have the below 2 feature requests open in our system since long time to ask to have this integration added to Jira. However, since they didn't get enough votes and since there are already other ways to integrate they have not been taken into consideration till now:
You may want to vote and watch the above tickets so that you will get notified in case of any update.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Dario
