Is it possible to format in Jira Cloud using brackets? The tags in brackets doesn't work

I think Jira Cloud is using its own proprietary dialect to represent formatted text, which is not the markup-like syntax you shown.

As I know this feature was shutdown by Atlassian when they introduce new view.
