You will no longer be able to switch back to the old Issue Create experience starting June 2022

Greetings Jira Community,

TLDR: Starting June 2022, we're removing the option to switch back to the old Issue Create experience.

You might have already gathered from our previous post that the new Issue Create experience was rolled out to 100% of our users in April in a bid to modernise it and to make it enterprise-ready in terms of performance, reliability, and scale. We'd like to thank you for the overwhelmingly positive reception. Some key numbers that we’d like to share with you:

  • More than 92.5% of the new issues that are created via a modal happen on the new Issue Create modal experience
  • A 3X performance improvement has been seen for up to the 90th percentile of our users
  • Only 2.5% of all users create issues using exclusively the old Issue Create experience

We would like to take this opportunity to announce again that the option to switch back to the old Issue Create will no longer be available for users starting June 2022. This will allow us to focus all our efforts on improving the new experience and ensure that we provide you with a consistent experience in Jira. This change will be a gradual transition and we expect it to take a few months to be completely rolled out for all users. Please note that the full-screen Issue Create experience and the Issue Create ecosystem APIs will continue to function as they currently do and will be migrated at a later point in time.

We have worked at capacity to iron out the issues raised and continue to work toward providing you with a quality experience. Please refer here for information on issues identified and fixed. Additionally, if you believe that the change impacts your operations critically, please drop a comment here or below. Our team will look into your concerns as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Team Issue Create

Hello there!

Before you do this, can you please make sure that this simple feature, which has existed FOREVER, is available in the new and improved issue editor?

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72208

When adding a comment and using the files & images icon doesn't browse the attachments of the issue

It can't be true that in the new editor it is not possible to use documents or images that have already been added to a ticket in the description, or any other WYSIWYG field.

Thanks!
