Jira Ticket Status Position Changed – Confirming Recent Update

We noticed that the ticket status, which used to appear at the top-left corner of Jira issues, is now displayed just below the ticket summary. Our team hasn’t made any changes on our side, so we wanted to confirm:

 

  • Is this part of a recent Jira UI update?

  • Has anyone else experienced this change?

We wanted to inform you that the Move Status has been relocated from its original position to under the Summary section as part of an experiment that our development team has recently rolled out across all customer instances

 

We understand that this change may feel unexpected or challenging to adjust to. At this time, it’s not possible to revert the status to its previous location. We truly appreciate your patience as you get used to this update.

Hello @Lokesh Sai ,

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

As per the recent change, the Status field will now appear directly under the work item’s Summary, making it easier and faster to find and update the status of your work. We are moving the status field to a more visible spot, simplifying your workflow and making Jira feel more intuitive.
