JIRA is OFFLINE. Attempts to access JIRA after restart failed.

Messages after JIRA restart are below.

We are running JIRA Server V7.4

Any ideas?

 

Server startup logs are located in /opt/atlassian/jira/logs/catalina.out
Using CATALINA_BASE: /opt/atlassian/jira
Using CATALINA_HOME: /opt/atlassian/jira
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/atlassian/jira/temp
Using JRE_HOME: /opt/atlassian/jira/jre/
Using CLASSPATH: /opt/atlassian/jira/bin/bootstrap.jar:/opt/atlassian/jira/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
Using CATALINA_PID: /opt/atlassian/jira/work/catalina.pid
Existing PID file found during start.
Removing/clearing stale PID file.
Tomcat started.

Sachin,

Thanks for the response.  I was able to resolve my issue.

The root cause was in the setenv.sh file.

I had installed entries for JMX support. Unfortunately, JMX support is not offered in JIRA 7.4 (it starts in v7.6).  I commented out the lines and was able to bring JIRA ONLINE.
