Hi!
we have created a issue security scheme with two levels and would like to have the default security level to change when an issue is assigned to certain user. So what I hoped would we a minor task of using Jira SD built-in automation seems to get a bit more complicated, since I can't find an option in the automation to change issue security level.
So is it possible to achieve what I described without a third party app?

I'm afraid it's not possible with basic automation.
There is no trigger "issue assigned"
Check available triggers
My recommendation is Automation for Jira Server great app can be used in every project, lot of possibilities.
