Is the sub-task view customizable

Alexander Kolev December 1, 2024

I'm wondering if I can add one or more fields to the sub-task view (highlighted in red below)

Hi @Alexander Kolev

To quote @Ste Wright from here.

This isn't really possible in Jira Cloud.

It used to work by modifying the jira.table.cols.subtasks option in Advanced Settings - click here to see how - but that only works in the old issue view (which as of 31/03/2021, can no longer be your default view).

There is a suggestion to bring it the new issue view, see JRACLOUD-70206.

You can still temporarily see it working using this option to click-through to the old view, but it's not ideal as you'd need to do it every time you open an issue.

Hi @Alexander Kolev

as already suggested, this isn't currently possible, however if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you should get pretty close; see e.g. this thread for possible directions forward.

Best, Hannes

Hi @Alexander Kolev

If you would be interested in a mktplace app, do try out

Issue Hierarchy

The app shows your issue hierarchy in a tree view on the issue screen itself at Epic level. Along with % progress for time tracking / story points and even status of child issues. The app has multiple other features which are very useful in project tracking and management and is free for upto 10 users.

(Disclaimer: I work for RVS, the vendor for this app)
