Service Desk is an application that runs inside JIRA.  You need JIRA for it to run.

The only way to do this one is to have a separate installation of JIRA Servicedesk.  Which then means you'll need some sort of synchronisation between the external and internal installations.

We are running JIRA on an internal application server but would like external users to access their own info on service desk but don't want any part of the internal server open to the internet.  Is it possible to Install Service Desk on a different server (Linux VM) and have it link to JIRA on the application server?  Thanks, Jeremy
