Is JavaScript available in Custom Fields?

I want to ceate custom field with autocomplete. I want to use AUI for it.

When I wrote servlets I just included web-resources in my velocity templates. I have tryed it for custom field templates but it not works.

Is any way to include JS into this template? Or maybe there is another way to use autocomplete in custom fields?

I need to do this fully automatically. Can I do this via plugin?

And I need to use my own custom field type for this, not an existing select list. Because I need to fill the list by the values from my own database table.
