In Plans in Timeline under Epics not all issues are shown

Antoni Bobiński April 8, 2024

Hi,

I created a Plan in Jira Coud and in Timeline I have a bunch of epics. Some of them are empty but for instance there is a one epic with 160 issues. So when I press the dropdown button in Timeline, then only about 30 are shown, but when I open this epic I can see normal all of the 160 issues.

Can anyone tell me how to show in timeline all issues under epic?

Or what is the logic here ?

Best regards,

Antoni

Hi @Antoni Bobiński ,

You can check your plan settings:

Issue sources - If the issue source are filtered in project or board (may not included other issues)

Exclusion rules - adjust the range of "Exclude any completed issues after", probably other issues are completed more than the range indicated.

Removed issues: Issue are removed in plan.

Hi @Antoni Bobiński,

There can be multiple reasons for this. The most likely (given the large number of issues you seem to have there), is that issues are no longer displayed in your plan if they are already done (plans is a planning tool, so it focuses on things that are not completed yet and hides the ones that are done after 30 days by default).

If that doesn't explain, have a look at this support article to troubleshoot other possible causes.

Hope this helps!
