Hey,

I read that I can export GitHub Issues as a CSV and import those into Jira.
Is there a way to adjust the assigned users, so they are auto assigned on import?

Also, since our team hasn't purchased Jira yet, I'm a little confused if I should be importing into Jira or Service Desk. As we use Github issues for public bug reports and then assign them to devs to fix. If I import to Jira, is it going to clog the system with backlogged bugs?

Thanks!

Hello,

You can use the a CSV file and you can assigned issues on import. That is for sure.

But there is also a built-in importer fro GitHub in Jira. I guess, it will be more convenient. Though I am not sure how it handles assignees. But I think it must be able to assign issues. You can find more info about the importer here:
