How to send customer notifications on a custom field update in a issue?

Hi All

Is there an option to set notifications/alerts for customer whenever a custom field is updated in a Jira issue without doing a workflow transition?

Consider using Automation. Have a look at it under Project settings > automation. Here is a link to documentation- automate-your-jira-cloud-processes-and-workflows

JIRA doesn't support notifications when specific fields are modified.
