How to prevent an issue type on another board from showing up as an option in my main board

Edmond Dang

Hi team,

I have 1 project with 2 boards. One of the boards is strictly for our internal team to use for "Internal Projects" and the other is opened to the public for clients to cut an issue to us. The only thing is that when people within the company cut a issue to our team on the mainboard, I don't want them to see the option to cut an "internal projects" issue. How do I filter this in the JQL so that only our internal team can cut "internal projects" issues.

Best,

Edmond

First, understand boards are driven by a board filter. So if you don't want certain issues to show on a given board then you need to figure out how to exclude those issues. So the question is, how do you differentiate your internal issues? Is it issue type or label or component or something else?
