How to hide tasks, or make them private?

Is it possible to hide or lock my tasks and sub-tasks, so they are visible only to me and don't contribute to project reports?

Welcome to the Community!  Are you using company-managed projects? If so, you could use an issue security scheme as described here for Cloud:

This is the equivalent for Data Center/ Server:

For team-managed projects this feature is not implemented but you can vote and follow here:

• In next-gen projects, allow users to restrict issues only to the roles they are associated
• Ability to have issue level security in next-gen projects
