How to delete history in Jira Cloud

We are using a Jira Cloud instance.  Some sensitive data was accidentally stored in an issue.  We've cleaned up the issue but the data is still showing in the history of the issue.  Is there a way to delete the history record in question?

I don't believe this is possible.  I know it is kind of a pain but I would suggest just cloning the issue and then deleting the original.
