How to I add the new Jira automation webhook URL and secret to BetterStack Uptime?

I am trying to update a Jira automation that receives an incoming webhook from BetterStack Uptime, since Jira is now requiring connected applications use the new URL and secret before 30 May 2025.

I cannot find where to add the secret in BetterStack Uptime

ex., https://betterstack.com/docs/uptime/jira/better-uptime-to-jira/

I can add the secret to the "Basic HTTP authentication password" BUT IT ALSO requires that I add the "Basic HTTO authentication username" (which is not working and returns an authorization error)

Where should I add the "secret" from Jira into BetterStack Uptime?

Hi @brian.g

Please see this article from Atlassian on the incoming webhook change to learn how to do that: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Automation-articles/Update-on-Incoming-Webhooks-Trigger-for-Atlassian-Automation/ba-p/2921233

If that does not help, please contact BetterStack for more information about their product / APIs.

Kind regards,
Bill

I checked with BetterStack - they confirmed that we currently have our Jira automations connected via outgoing webhooks, and they suggested that we should be able to configure the details of the request if we go to Integrations and at the bottom > Incident webhook for Jira.
They also mentioned that we can also switch from the generic outgoing webhooks to the new native integration provided by BetterStack.
