How to Fast-Track transition back to previous status and add a comment

Hi, 

I created a "Customer Notified" transition/status that is able to be transitioned to from any status. I am looking to create a post function of this transition that will fast-track transition an issue back to the previous status AND write out a comment that the customer was notified. Any advice? Thank you in advance for your time.
