How do I go about creating a space for a new project?

Hi - We have a project started to build a NVMe Boot RAID Controller and need a Jira space to log defects and report project status. The project name id Hidden Valley.

Hi Robert,

Click on the + sign next to the Spaces menu option in the left hand menu. You will need to be a Jira Administrator to be able to create the Space. 

Then click Service Management on the left hand menu. Several templates will show up on the right/middle. I suggest you just use the Blank project and add your own Request types or the General Service Management template and modify what you want. The others create WAY too many things that don't apply in my opinion and you end up doing a lot of deleting.

If I may add: for defect tracking, a simple bug tracking template found within Jira Software should be fine as well. It all depends on what type of Jira licenses you have.
