From the manual I see the path is Administration>User>Group, which opens the group browser, however I cannot find User option under Administration. Could you please guide me through the process of creating a group specific to my team.
there is no "add group" at the bottom of your group page?
$your_jira/secure/admin/user/GroupBrowser.jspa
is it an external directory with read-only permissions?
Thanks Faysal,
I think I need to get logged in as JIRA Administrator to create and I am afraid I am not an admin. So only Admin can create a group, right?

Please check this documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA052/Managing+Groups.
In adition to, please check if you can search for this panel (g+g > Groups).

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for your answer, I am looking at the link of "Managing Groups", when I look in the Administration panel (g+g) - I cannot find Groups under that. Do that have to deal with permissions or so?
Thanks,
Mehul

Do you have full LDAP integration? Maybe that's why you can't create groups...
