Hi all -
I have a Jira board set up for managing team tasking. Previously we used the agile projects set up and did not like it. We now have a jira project of the business space type and team-managed (see screenshots).
The problem is, on our agile board we were able to set it so that tasks are ordered in columns by their status (in progress, to do, etc.) AND they were ordered in rows by the assignee.
I can't figure out how to replicate this in the new project type. Can you all advise?
Hello @Dave Matthews
Unfortunately the native boards for Business project don't support horizontal groupings (swimlanes).
There is an open change request to add that as a feature. You can add your vote to it here:
Hi @Trudy P Claspill , I followed your link and then one more to here: Swimlanes & group-by for Jira business boards ... This is what is needed, however this article reads the feature was 'shipped' out to all business boards as of June 1st 2026.
I do not have this feature on my board. Are you running into the same issue ?

Hello @Dave Matthews
It is challenging to keep up with the changes that Atlassian rolls out, isn't it? Thank you for digging deeper and sharing that article link!
I checked my own Free instance I do see the feature there in both Company-managed and Team-managed Business spaces.
Per the new Release Notes feature available here:
https://community.atlassian.com/release-notes
I found that the release of this feature is still rolling out. So it may not have reached your instance yet.

Oh! Would be nice to know the estimated completion schedule... I am on the gov cloud instance.
