Hello everyone , my Asset is usefull for me for the IT asset management and I want to have child item under a category named "Managed Devices" I want child item like "IPhones" , "Laptop" , "Mac" etc...
So I create it , but i want to automatically put the Iphone devices in the child item "Iphones" , the MacOS devices in the child item "MacOS"
Someone can help me please ?
Hi @DELCROIX Clément and welcome to Community!
Do you mean you want to move your existing ‘Managed Devices’ objects into the new categories you created? For example, an object of type ‘Managed Devices’ with a name containing ‘iPhone’ would be moved from ‘Managed Devices’ to ‘iPhones’?
If so, you have a couple of solutions:
Bulk clone Assets objects to a different object type using Automation. Note: this is limited to updating 50 objects at a time.
Do you have any custom fields linked to these ‘Managed Devices’ objects? If so, you’ll need to plan how to update them accordingly.
Hope this helps!

Hello one more time Manon, I am not jira admin for the moment so I can't create any rules...
Also, the data in Asset are data import from intune, I want to automatically have the data in the good child item , like i said, for example :
If in my intune import , I have 10 IPhones and 10 MacOS , I want to have this in my Child item "IPhones" and "IPAD"
Do you understand what I mean ?

Got it! In that case, you’ll need to adjust the import process itself. How are the data imported into Assets from Intune?

Hello @Manon Soubies-Camy
Thanks for the response,
Import is make with a connector Intune ==> Asset (PIO software)
I will investigate with the support of PIO , thank you for the detail ;)
Have a nice day !
