How Can I Bulk Edit the "Label Attribute"?

carlos andrade April 1, 2025

I haven't been able to bulk edit the "Label Attribute" of an Object Type in my schema. I have tried importing a csv file and scriptrunner groovy scripts but the "Label Attribute" does not change. The only way I have been able to change this attribute is to edit each one at time in JSM. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advanced,

Hi @carlos andrade,

You can bulk edit it using the option Bulk Actions, then select edit objects, and then you can change/add/remove the attribute.
2nd option is that you can create an automation rule to bulk update the attributes.

Thank you for the response! The bulk edit does work to change the label attribute, but it is only feasible if you want to apply the same change to all the records selected. To make different changes to every record will take a very long time with this method.

Could you expand a little on how I can accomplish this with an automation rule?
