Hello,
We would like to make it easier for "normal users" to use JIRA.
They need only to be able to create an issue and make comments there. Nothing more.
Is it possible to hide almost all system and custom fields from such users?
The "power users" should still see everything.
Regards
Leo
I believe I have found the answer here:
https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/JIRA-Is-it-possible-to-hide-fields-from-certain-users/qaq-p/3524
It is not possible without a special add-on or plug-in.
I have seen some on the Marktplace. Which one would be the easiest?
Field Security from Quisapps works well for most people.

Hi Nic,
Thanks a lot.
It hides only "custom fields, time tracking details, assignee field".
Are there a way to hide some system fields too?

Leo

Generally speaking we would like to hide from all "normal users" all the fields except for "Summary", "Description" and "Comments" like it is done in JIRA Service Desk.
Is it possible in JIRA Software without JIRA Service Desk?
