Hello,
I just configured the Deployment section of Jira Cloud. That seems a great feature!
The integration seems to work well for deployments that occurs on my branches. I can see them in Jira:
My problem is that I do not see any deployment of those features when the branches are merged back in master for a deployment on our Development environment.
It is the same when I create a tag and deploy it to our pre Production env and finally in Production. I do not see them in the plan...
As I understand, Jira uses the branch name and / or commit message to know what it is deploying on which environment. I have the task referenced in the commit message but is seems not to work.
The commit message is something standard like: Merge branch 'feature/MHC-2152-fix-ui-feedback' into 'master' In that example MHC-2152 is one of our task
Thanks for your help!
Hi, @Gregory Brissonnette Did you figure it out this? I have the same problem
Unfortunately no...
But the Atlassian's team answered me that the issue is on Gitlab side and gave me that issue for the follow up: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/300031
I already gave them kind of an idea how to handle the issue. It seems that it could work but since then I didn't see any planification on that ticket for the implementation...
Maybe you can follow that issue, upvote it and comment to increase the chances to see it move ;-)

@Gregory Brissonnette Even I am trying to configure the deployment section of Jira with Gitlab. I am using GitlabCI. It would be a great help if you could tell me how you achieved this deployment integration with Jira

Hello @Swadhin Kumar
First, I configured the Jira Integration on my Gitlab project. You can find it in Your Project > Integration Settings > Jira
Then I installed Gitlab for Jira (from Gitlab vendor) as described here: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/integration/jira/connect-app.html
And finally, I configured the Deployments available on the menu with the same name at the Jira project level...
