Field Showing as Required - Cant find where it is

I have a field which is showing as "Required" however everywhere I have looked it doesn't appear to be that way.

Is there a list of places where a field can be set as "REQUIRED" or conditions that would cause a field to be required?

The fields could be set as required in the project's field configuration scheme.
