Today for the first time in the almost 2 years we are using the free Jira Cloud plan we received a notification on the website that email notifications have been turned off and we used the maximum number for the plan. However I can only find 100 notifications as the limit in the free plan, we are not even close to this - we received 21 emails from Jira.
Does this limit also include the emails the reporters receive?
While we were quite busy today, we have definitely seen busier days too, how is this possible?
Hello @Anja Bresemann
The email limit applies to all emails sent by the instance, regardless of the recipient, so yes it does include the emails sent to Reporters.
It is not limited to the emails sent based on the Notifications configured for project/spaces. It includes emails sent by customizations like Automation Rules.
As our friends mentioned previously, Jira can send a maximum of 100 emails per day on the Free plan. This includes every email coming from your site, whether it is to Reporters or internal notifications.
To increase the number of notifications you can send, you can upgrade your plan or adopt 3rd-party apps like our Notification Assistant for Jira that has no limitations for the number of emails users can send.

Hello,
Welcome to Community :)
Please check this article for more details on the same : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-email-notifications/
Jira can send a maximum of 100 emails per day on the Free plan. After 100 emails, notifications are paused until the following day. You can upgrade your plan to allow for more email notifications. When upgrading to a paid plan, it may take up to 30 days for this limit to be lifted. If you're trialing a Standard, Premium or Enterprise plan, or have recently upgraded to a paid plan, and need to increase your daily email limit, contact our support team.
Thank You,
Prachi

Hi Prachi, my question was whether this also includes email notifications sent out to the requester?
