Does Jira on premises "Server" include Service Desk and Confluence?

Adrian Pratt July 27, 2017

We are using Jira cloud for software, confluence and service disk, if we move onto the on premises server, is this included or do we need to pay extra?

There are a whole swathe of products you might use:

  • JIRA Core
  • JIRA Software (Core + Software Boards)
  • JIRA Service Desk (Core + SLAs, portals etc)
  • Confluence

Each one of these is a separate licence (but not Server - you'd run JIRA Core + Service Desk + Software as one server and Confluence as another)

Hi Nic.. sorry, being a bit thick today, but im still not sure if those services are included in "server"? What actually comes with server, and if theyre not included, how do we purchase them?

Its really not clear on the website :(

Atlassian has 14ish products, of which the main ones are JIRA, 2 JIRA Applications, Confluence and Bitbucket.

All of these separate products are available in three flavours:

  • Cloud
  • Server
  • Data Centre

So, from what you've said, you are looking at *three* server products, leading to *two* services running - JIRA Core (Server) and JIRA Service Desk (Server) are two products running as one service, and Confluence (Server) is a single product in a separate service.
