Hi Team,
Currently, our JIRA and Bamboo are using Oracle Java which was came installation. Now do we need to now purchase this Oracle Java again ?
It depends.
Oracle made their Java non-free a while ago, and they did it on a version change.
If you are on a version of Java that is old enough that it is not paid for, then no, you are fine. If you have moved up to a version that is not free any more, then yes, you will need to pay a licence fee for it (the licence fee is not part of what you have paid to Atlassian)
java is bundled with Jira and Bamboo.
no need to get external.
Thanks,
Anvesh Kagithala

Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- / @KAGITHALA BABU ANVESH ,
Thank you for the replies.
We have installed JIRA v8.13.0 and Bamboo 7.0.4 , do this servers need to purchase the Oracle JAVA license? I could not get any useful information on Atlassian site for my scenario.

As I said before, you will need to pay the licence fee for Oracle Java.
See

Atlassian's documentation sites don't mention it anywhere obvious though. Maybe because they've expected everyone to move to OpenJDK by now (3 years later)

Jira has bundled Adopt Open JDK since version 8.3 - the bundled version with 8.13 is Adopt OpenJDK 8u202b08. If for some reason the bundled version has been replaced, or if the application is using a system Java, you can also change the JVM being used by the application.
