Creating a ticket in service desk from network equipment

The company I work for has printers that send messages when they have problems.  I have the email messages being sent to the Service Desk but tickets aren't being created.   I have researched this extensively and have setup the project so users can create issues anonymously but still no luck.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

have you done the following?

  • the machines “from” address will need to be listed as a customer
  • log into the mailbox associated with the help desk and verified that emails from machines exist?
  • sent a test email manually and verify the ticket is created in Jira?
