Changing the issue status from "Ready for testing" to closed

Hello all!

I have a Jira service desk that is setup with a feature to transition an issue to 'Ready for Testing" and/or "Ready for Deployment". If someone does this, we can't close the issue. I'd like to know how to either undo the transition or change the issue to closed. Thanks!

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Solving this problem requires editing the workflow to change what transitions are available.

To direct you to the correct path we need to know the type of project you are using. Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu. What we need to find out is if the project is Company Managed or Team Managed.

If it is a Company Managed project then the workflow can be edited only by a Jira Administrator.

If it is a Team Managed project then the workflow can be edited by a Project manager for that project.

Do you have the necessary access to edit the workflow?

Thanks! That is what I suspected. I will need to reach out to an admin to see what my options are since I can't update the workflow.
