Bug on closing sprint

gabrielgratival November 14, 2022

Please help.

Problem: When I click "complete sprint" it says there's no completed task even with many completed ones.

Screen Shot 2022-11-14 at 11.38.33.png

I recently discovered that in my workflow config. the column done was not market as a done status, so I already fixed it. But still when I complete the sprint the issues are not recognized as done still.

Consequence: I cannot close the sprint because de issues are all sent to the backlog or new sprint even marked as done. =/

Any help or idea how to solve that?

Hi Gabriel,

Possibly 2 things:

  1. The status in your workflows may not be a Done status so Jira doesn't see them as Done.
  2. Check if the issues all marked done have open subtasks, completing a sprint will look to see if the sub-tasks are closed. If you have subtasks open but parent issues closed, this can happen. If this is the issue, close off the subtasks or if they are not done, move them to a new parent.

Jira has a cool tool that when subtasks are all transitioned to done with a parent, the parent can be marked done, this may help after you fix the problem you have now.

Hi Gabriel,

Are the issue resolved( Do you see a little check right beside the done status?)?

I will guess it's a yess since issue number look to be crossed.

I've seen an issue once where the reslolution date were outside of the sprint date. If you change the end date for today and try to close it does it resolve the issue?
